These are photos of a wood carving that I bought for my wife, commemorating our anniversary on 8/30/99. The sculptor's name is Roy, and I'm embarrassed to write that his last name escapes me.  The photos definitely do not do justice to the piece.

This eagle is quite powerful, as all eagles are.  He is an awesome presence.

The odor of his cedar wood body is pleasing and reassuring.  My inadvertent placement of the yardstick gives one an idea of his height.  We think his roost will be at the center of our new home.  This way he can watch over and protect our abode.
